DELVING INTO THE S BLOCK: AN ELEMENT COUNT

The S block consists of the alkali metals and second column. These elements are characterized by their single valence electron(s) in their final shell. Studying the S block provides a fundamental understanding of atomic interactions. A total of twelve elements are found within this group, each with its own individual characteristics. Understanding
